Soccer has shaped Graham Baker into the man he is today. Through the hardships and triumphs of the game, he has learned that everything happens for a reason and that staying rooted in his faith has taught him patience and humility, even in victory.

As an assistant coach and private lessons instructor, Graham believes the kids teach him just as much, if not more, than he teaches them. Working alongside Coach Carl has been a blessing, giving him the opportunity to learn from someone he deeply respects. Playing under his dad has also taught him valuable lessons, including understanding that sometimes a coach pushes you because they care. Through coaching, Graham continues to learn the importance of personal responsibility, preparation, and time management.

Having been part of Houston Surf since its Legacy days, Graham believes the club is unlike any other. He remembers joining in eighth grade when his team wasn't the best, but sticking it out and eventually becoming one of the best teams in Texas. That experience taught him character and perseverance, reinforcing what he values most about Surf: a club that stands for something and helps shape its players into better people.
