Soccer has been part of Jake's life for as long as he can remember. Growing up in a family where everyone played the game, he spent countless hours at the fields with them. He also played for Texans Soccer Club under Lee Baker and Carl Fleming, two coaches who are now part of the Houston Surf family.

As a coach, Jake appreciates the opportunity to help young players enjoy the game. One of his most meaningful experiences came when a parent shared how much her daughter looked forward to every training session and game after having a difficult season the year before.

What Jake loves most about Houston Surf is the culture and community the club has built. He appreciates how welcoming everyone is, regardless of team or age group, and how easy it is to feel part of the Surf family.

I had a parent from my 2012 Girls team let me know after the season how much her daughter enjoyed and looked forward to each training session and game. She had a tough time the season before so her just enjoying the season and time is what her mother wanted!
