Soccer has been an important part of James Brehm's life since childhood, teaching him the value of competition, teamwork, hard work, discipline, and resilience. The coaches who guided him growing up helped shape the person he is today, and coaching has become his way of giving back to the game that has given him so much.

James hopes to have that same lasting impact on his players, helping them build confidence, learn from mistakes, and develop a genuine love for soccer. He finds it especially rewarding to watch players improve their skills, grow in their understanding of the game, and earn opportunities to compete at higher levels.

What James loves most about Houston Surf is the people and sense of community. He appreciates the relationships among players, families, and coaches, and is proud to be part of a club that shares his belief that coaching is about more than wins and losses. His goal is to help players develop life lessons that will serve them long after their playing days are over.
