For Lee, soccer can be summed up in one word: perseverance. Through coaching, he's had the opportunity to watch boys grow into young men, sharing moments of joy and heartache along the way.

Lee finds it especially rewarding when former players thank him for giving them a chance to succeed. He believes that while results matter, the most important results are often found within the players themselves. Can they push themselves without someone telling them to? Will they put in the work when no one is watching? Can they persevere through challenges and come out stronger on the other side?

What Lee loves most about Houston Surf is the culture, the team, and the mission. He's humbled to be part of a group that welcomes continuous improvement and believes in helping one another grow.

Career Highlights: 

• 18+ years of competitive soccer playing experience

• Former player for the Dallas Hornets, Dallas Comets, and Dallas Gunners ('79 teams) in the Dallas Classic League

• Four years coaching the 2011 age group with Houston Surf

• Led the 2011 Boys White team to a 4th-place finish at the Presidents Cup State Finals
